Kristin Fisher joined CNN in July 2021, as CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. In that role she is responsible for covering everything from NASA and the recently created Space Force, to commercial space companies and the advent in space travel. Kristin's parents were each NASA astronauts. Kristin spent her childhood in space, and she has since been a White House reporter for FOX News that covers the Trump and Biden Administrations in space matters. Also, she covered the 2020 presidential campaign as well as the efforts of two administrations in fighting the coronavirus. Kristin was on the road extensively, both with the president and vice president. She was even on a top-secret trip to Afghanistan along with Donald Trump. Kristin was a fixture in the local news markets of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as Washington, D.C. for over a decade before being hired by the network. She won an Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as an CBS affiliate's one-man band reporter. Using her skills on the set, Kristin founded Field Mouse Films in 2014, which was a specialist in documentary style films for corporate clients including Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Boston University. Kristin is married to her daughter, and her three-year-old son in Washington, D.C.
